About

From April 21 to 28, Victory Museum hosted the VI International Truthful Cinema Festival.

The film forum brought together works created on the basis of traditional values and the ideas of humanism and compassion. Festival guests not only saw bright, kind, and wise cinematic works, but could also meet the films’ directors, actors, and producers. At the same time as the program at Victory Museum, truthful cinema was screened at almost a thousand venues in more than 70 regions of Russia and in 20 foreign countries. Over the festival’s eight days there were more than 1,800 screenings, watched by over 70,000 viewers.

Competition films were judged by an international jury in 17 categories.

The festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and was timed to coincide with the 81st anniversary of Victory.

History
of International Truthful Cinema Fest

The project has been running since 2022. In 2024, the festival was granted international status and held a competition in 11 categories. Over the entire period of the festival’s existence more than 340 films have been shown, seen by approximately 600,000 people in 77 regions of the Russian Federation and 20 foreign countries.

A result of previous festivals has been the popularization of truthful films and their creators and directors, which has given an impetus for further work and for promoting their films at international festivals.
